CWP Parent Advisory Council

The CWP Parent Advisory Council is a group of parents who meet approximately once a month to plan events and fundraisers, coordinate volunteers, and organize various school-wide activities. Meetings are held on weekday mornings at SUMC, and childcare is provided for children over the age of 1. Events that PAC has organized this year include:
Money raised from PAC fundraising events have helped to purchase new playground equipment and classroom supplies. PAC is also currently collecting donations for the CWP Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to deserving CWP students. (See information below.)

Pennies for Preschool Pals

Pennies for Preschool Pals is a fun and educational fundraiser that encourages students to collect spare change and bring it to school to support the CWP Scholarship Fund. Each classroom will have individual collection containers which will be available from February through April. Donations can be made regularly - especially since most of us accumulate pocket change and spare pennies daily!

Collecting pennies and other spare change with your child is a great chance to reinforce lessons being taught in the classroom, such as counting, shape and size identification, and number recognition. Participating children will also learn a valuable civic lesson, as they come to understand that they too can make a contribution to the CWP community. Moreover, they begin to learn, at an early age, the importance of compassion and philanthropy, lessons which will hopefully stay with them the rest of their lives.
