SUMC Scrip Program

In the coming weeks, SUMC will be restarting the Gift Card Program (also known as Scrip). For those of you not familiar with this program, it is a fund raising activity for the church where we sell gift cards to shop at any Giant Grocery store. The cards are just like the ones you can buy in the checkout aisle at Giant to pay for groceries. But when you buy them at SUMC, the church receives back 4% of the value of the Gift card. So, if you buy a $100 gift card to do your weekly shopping at Giant, you get $100 worth of purchases and the church gets $4.00. Instead of using your credit, debit or cash at the Giant checkout, use one of the SUMC Gift Cards and support the church. This has been a great program in the past and provided extra funds for the church. We hope you will support it as we start back up again.
How can you help? We need buyers and sellers! To be a buyer, just make your purchase on Sundays at church. Stop by the Gift Card table set up in the parlor where you can buy $20, $50 or $100 denomination cards.
We also need sellers! We are looking for folks willing to help sell the cards each Sunday. If enough folks volunteer, it will only require that each person sell about one Sunday each quarter.
